So some people apparently thinks that it is acceptable to take other people's translations and upload it somewhere else without informing the translator. Whatever happened to the common curtesy of asking for permission before you take someone else's hard work and distributing it every which way?

I want to make it clear that I do not want my Saiunkoku translations redistributed in any way. Do not claim them as your own by changing a few words here and there. If you find my translations at places other than my livejournal, know that it was taken without my knowledge or permission.

If I do any more translations, I may friend-lock them. I haven't decided yet.

I'm too tired to post more, but for now here's a pic of the autographed poster that I won by answering a question about Kalafina at the Garden of Sinners Panel!

Kalafina at the Opening Ceremonies

Kalafina Panel. No pics allowed of Kalafina, but I took a pic before they arrived. I was sitting in the 2nd row! Too bad they didn't allow pics, or I would've gotten some nice ones :(

Kalafina Autograph Session (It was really hard getting good pics with all the people moving in front of them, but I tried.)

Had I know there would be so little opportunities for pics, I would've taken more at the opening ceremonies and autograph session. No pics were allowed of the concert and both panels.

I finally registered to go to Anime Boston (May 22-24)! Of course I waited until the last minute to do it, but it went through, so it's all good. I've never been to any kind of a convention before, but I couldn't resist the chance to see/hear Kalafina live, so I decided to go for it. If anyone is going, drop me a line :)

Shuuei broken heart
I have decided to friend-lock my media contents. I have had too many of my files deleted, and I keep re-upping them, but it never seems to end. Like other people, it started with some BL files that I had in a shared mediafire folder (that I uploaded but hadn't posted anywhere yet, but people could still access by clicking on the other files that were in the same folder), and before you knew it, the whole folder of non-BL things got deleted. It then spread to other links on other hosts that I had posted on my journal. I was giving people the benefit of the doubt, since megaupload decided to stream all video content via megavideo when you upload content to megaupload, so it is entirely possible that the various Japanese companies found the videos and had them taken down. But, that didn't really account for the mass deletion of other kinds of media, and the fact that none of my megaupload files were ever deleted until I started sharing them on my livejournal.  And, I experimented by friend-locking an entry that had repeated deletions after re-uploading the files (again), and lo and be hold, the files are still there. So, this is my final decision. I'm sure I'll get lots of friend requests now, but I'll only friend back those people that I know and trust.

ぷち・ザ・ビーンズ  “虹の生まれる場所に” by  Yukino Sai
Petit The Beans “The place rainbows are born”

The info is gathered from various Japanese blogs, so I don’t know how accurate it is...

The story takes place when Shuurei temporarily is back from Sa Province, in book 7. Sa Kokujun and Ryuuren were staying at Shouka’s estate. (It’s the day Kurou stops by and gives Shuurei some clementines.)  Kurou made dinner, while Kokujun helped, and Kurou, Kokujun, Shuurei, and Shouka ate together. (Ryuuren had left earlier in the day.) After dinner, Kurou even started to do the dishes, and Shuurei couldn’t allow a guest to do that, so she followed him into the kitchen. Kurou took out a new plate, and Shuurei remembered that there were lots of clementines for dessert, but Kurou brought out apples and clementines that he had put outside to freeze. Kurou grated the apples, and spoon fed Shuurei the grated apples. Since no one was watching, Shuurei opened her mouth and let him feed her. She thought that the grated apple would be cold, but Kurou had poured warmed honey over the apples, so it wasn’t cold, and tasted very good. She thought that it tasted familiar, and Kurou saw that she had remembered, (I guess he used to feed it to her when she was little) so he spoon fed her some more.

"春の夜の夢" by Yukino Sai
"A spring night's dream"

Ryuuki and Seiran turns into girls, and Shuurei turns into a boy! Apparently, Shou-taishi gives Ryuuki an incense that will let him dream whatever he desires. He wished for a typical shoujo novel type of a dream, and what he got was... he turned into a typical shoujo heroine. Ryuuki is about to be married off to either Shuuei or Kouyuu, for 500 pieces of gold by Shou-taishi, because the royal family is poor. She goes to cry under a cherry tree, and meets Kou Shuu (Shuurei as a boy) and falls in love, but he is engaged to Lady Seiran! Who is apparently big busted, and sexy as hell, while Ryuuki is small busted. And black Seiran is scarier as a sexy woman, because men can't refuse her... She uses her skills (to get money) to keep the Kou family out of the poor house. In the end Ryuuki decides to become a good queen, and re-establish the royal family's fortune, rebuild the country, and tries to get Shuu too.

Natsu to Onigiri to Ougon no Chikai

(Summer and rice ball and golden oath)

I thought it was finally time.

"You should become the next Sa Province governor---- Rou Ensei."

Said Sa Enjun, in a gentle, but a tone that did not allow for refusal, while looking over my studies for the exam, when I was around sixteen or seventeen.

While I was in shock, I somehow got talked into it, and before I knew what was going on, I had agreed to it.

Before I realized it, ten years had passed.

-----Sometimes, I think if maybe it was all a dream.

I don't know--- if the ten years were long, or short. But, when I received news of Sa Enjun's death, for the first time, I counted the years with my fingers, and in a daze, thought about how long it has been. And, that, the dream has ended.

After Sa-Taiho's death, sooner or later, the Sa family will forcibly remove me from the position of governor. When I realized this, .....I felt a little relieved.

Tennyo no Hagoromo
by Yukino Sai
(Celestial Maiden’s Hagoromo)

----------This is the story of when Shuurei first entered the palace as a concubine, and she and the emperor were meeting, neither revealing their true positions....

    Spring rain was falling.

When Shuurei was walking toward the library as usual, probably because of the rain, a small rain-frog hopped out of the pond. For some reason, it was hopping after Shuurei.

Large frogs are disgusting, but she didn’t dislike small rain-frogs. Shuurei turned around, put it on her palm, and returned it to the pond.

“Here, go home. If you hop around, you’ll get stomped on and crushed.”

Shuurei waved to the frog, and hurried to the library.

“Oh, how unusual. I arrived here first.”

Entering the library, Shuurei was surprised. Yesterday and the day before yesterday, no matter how early Shuurei woke up, “Ran Shuuei” was always there ahead of her. It’s not as if he could possibly have been sleeping over in the library.

Even her father, the master of the library, seemed to have gone out somewhere. She folded her arms, wondering what to do.

Shuurei approached the bookcase, took a few of her favorite books in her hand, and went to the back so no one would come, and decided to secretly read while listening to the rain.

    ---- Is somebody, there?

Until then, no matter how loudly I cried, nobody came.

------.....You don't have to cry here by yourself anymore.

He held out his hand, and wiped my tear, snot, and mud stained face. He petted my head. I was so tired from crying that I could not stand. I was rolled up on the ground, but he easily held me up and gently tapped my back.

------Next time, come to my palace.

I grabbed tightly on to his neck. I thought, this might be a dream, if I let go, this kind person might disappear like a puff of smoke.

------I'm your second eldest brother....... Ryuuki, my youngest brother.

I'm not going anywhere, so don't worry, he whispered by my ear, as if to calm me.

Ryuuki's nightmare finally came to an end.
